TORONTO: REDISCOVERING FAMILIAR PLACES AND CREATING NEW MEMORIES
Landing in Toronto this time felt like stepping into a rush of energy and familiarity. The weekend kicked off with patio drinks at the condo, the iconic CN Tower looming overhead, serving as a reminder of just how much I love this city. There’s something about that skyline that never loses its magic.
I spent the next few hours revisiting some of my favorite spots, starting with a late-night stop at Rabba, that little 24-hour convenience store staple. It’s funny how a simple visit can bring back so many memories—it’s almost a tradition every time I’m here. Yet, the real highlight of the night was sitting with friends at Amsterdam Bar, right on the waterfront. The gentle lapping of the lake against the shore, the city lights reflecting off the water, and the lively buzz of downtown made for the perfect setting.
Sharing dinner and drinks with good company, we indulged in conversation and laughter. The standout dish? The Korean-style calamari, which quickly became a new favorite of mine—delicate, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. It was one of those meals that felt like an experience in itself, an unexpected discovery in a city that continues to surprise me.
Toronto has a way of making me feel at home every time I return. There’s an undeniable charm in walking its streets, dining by the water, and simply soaking in its vibrant atmosphere. This weekend was no exception—full of laughter, great food, and those moments of connection that remind me why I’m drawn back to this city again and again.
As the weekend comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the beauty of familiar places and the joy of creating new memories within them. Toronto, as always, you’ve been wonderful.
